Material Escalation Clause: From the time of estimate to the time of deposit for material is made there may be an increase in the cost of materials over time due to various factors such as inflation, supply chain disruptions, or changes in market conditions, by 15% or more. Which will result in a price increase for material, to reflect market price at the time of the deposit.

General Contractor must provide access to job site
All steel requiring it will be hot dipped galvanized
Pipe bollards to be primed only. Anchor bolts mill finish
Shop drawings must be returned "approved" and all requested information must be given before fabrication will begin. Drawings marked "reviewed" will not be considered as approved.
Price includes install during normal business hours only (Mon - Fri 7am-5pm). After hours work will be extra.
All overtime must be approved by customer in writing
Unloading of items listed as "furnish only" is the responsibility of the General Contractor
Charge backs must be reported to Meraki Steel for review and ability to correct
Meraki Steel is not responsible for charge backs that do not follow this process
This proposal shall be incorporated into and part of any contract with Meraki Steel
Projects that require phasing past 5 months will require material escalation cushion. Material is not ordered until approved shop drawings are received back from architect/engineer and half down of the estimate is received by Meraki Steel.
Estimate good for 15 days.
EXCLUSIONS
Any steel that may be shown on the arch drawings but is not specified/called out
Any items listed as "metal" - these are for light gage metal framers
Any material not specifically included/spelled out on sheet one of this proposal
Surveying, shooting elevations, setting anchor bolts or leveling plates
Setting leveling nuts or plates
Cutting holes in decking (for mechanical units or any other reason)
Wage scale rates, product samples, no shrink grout, bonds (of any type)
Costs for and scheduling of testing and inspections
Any costs for permits for traffic guards, and/or street closings
Acquiring permits for any work to be completed
Field measuring
Setting or installing lintels
Field touch up painting or finish painting
Demolition or shoring
Light gage or cold formed metal
Light gage being defined as anything designated on the drawings as "ga" (such as 14 ga, etc)
Welding our steel or metal decking to light gage metal
